Is there a benefit to having fewer lands/grooves such as 2 or 3, over more grooves like 8? Do fewer grooves produce less rifling scoring on the bullets, thereby less windage and jump effects? How many grooves are best for 50/100 distances?

I'm sure their will be a lot of opinions on this topic.
I would think you would have to have mega financial resources for barrels and ammo and a tremendous amount of tunnel time to test in order to find killer barrel/ ammo combinations and have them all tuned in order to establish a baseline inside and then be able to adjust airflow inside to a consistent speed and angle to ever prove If their is any difference in drift between barrel configurations.
I think my 4mi has less drift than my ratchet but that could be all in my head.
Just for the record I prove myself wrong quite often.
